This quick sketch, from a spot on the junction between Bernstorffsgade and Vesterbrogade, features Axel Towers and the surrounding street scene. This is a busy intersection very close to Copenhagen’s main station and Tivoli, a popular tourist attraction.
In my short time at the junction the number of cars was significantly lower than the number of pedestrians, cyclists and buses. Despite very accommodating road infrastructure for cars, it is simply too easy to be a cyclist or pedestrian in Copenhagen for a car to be attractive.
